'People up and down the country are eager to be part of the clean energy transformation'

Yesterday’s report from the Intergovermental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which pointed a bleak future for the world unless urgent action is taken to curb emissions, has met with a dismissive response from several leading governments.

The UN body warned in the report that “limiting global warming to 1.5°C would require rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society”, but doing so would “reduce challenging impacts on ecosystems, human health and wellbeing”.
